The urban delivery industry is experiencing a drastic increase in the demand. The delivery experience will be a game changer in the relationship between shops and final customers. The lack of technology for the delivery operational services often implies a low level of control over the delivery process, triggering the alteration of the products during their transportation and making the delivery service incompatible with high-quality products. On the other hand, the local food shops are suffering from big e-Commerce companies expansion.

The product

Measy is a technology enabler for a new proximity trade. Measy is composed by a professional vehicle designed for last mile food delivery, based on the following assets: a patented technology actively controls load oscillations and its stability, ensuring product preservation and rider safety during the transport. An intelligent box monitors and regulates the internal temperature and is geolocated through an integrated tracking system. Lastly, a digital platform uses the vehicle’s on-board technologies to provide additional services to augment the delivery experience for stores and end users.

How does it work?

Thanks to its dedicated algorithms, Measy “understands” the vehicle dynamics and calculates oscillations suffered by the transported box at high speed. It automatically controls the inertia of the load, dislocating the mass of the box from the mass of vehicle in order to preserve the products inside. At low speed, the system compensates the movement for unexpected lateral oscillations by moving the bike’s load towards the opposite side of the frame, drastically increasing stability of the vehicle.

Next steps

Measy launched the first pilot project in collaboration with Camera di Commercio Milano Monza Brianza Lodi: the first high quality neighbourhood home delivery service in Milan, a response to the needs of local merchants and citizens.
