Electric, sustainable and, in the near future, applicable also to self-driving cars: “Inproves”, the Brembo-led project in collaboration with e-Novia and financed by the region of Lombardy –with a non-refundable loan of 4,8 million euros (out of a total grant of 7 millions) – aims at building the engine of the future. The deal has been signed on Monday, 17 July, at the Brembo headquarters in Curno (Bergamo) in the presence of all involved stakeholders: from Brembo, head of the project, to e-Novia, Magneti Marelli, Università di Bergamo, Politecnico di Milano, Utp Vison, Mako Shark, Peri and Mechatronics and Dynamic Devices. “Inproves” focuses on the study and development of solutions that will herald a new era in mobility. The joint project will start off with the launce of a number of “brushless” engine prototypes, developed within a specially tailored production line inspired by the new industry 4.0 paradigm.

Also e-Novia Ceo Vincenzo Russi was in Curno when the agreement was signed: «We are extremely proud to be part of this project – said Russi in front of Roberto Maroni, governor of the region of Lombardy, and Alberto Bombassei, president of Brembo –. “Inproves” will give us the opportunity to operate in those fields in which we excel, from sensor technologies to so-called cognitive model systems, which today are being applied to numerous industries, above all the automotive sector».
