WAHU successfully closes its crowdfunding on Kickstarter and lands on Indiegogo

After the success on Kickstarter, WAHU does not stop and starts the sale on a new platform. A total of 366 pairs of shoes were sold. Of these, 116 were sold to supporters from Italy and 92 to supporters from the USA.

WAHU, the sneaker of the e-Novia Group that combines sophisticated technology (w-lift ™ technology) with robotics, has successfully closed its first fundraising campaign through the American platform Kickstarter, reaching the goal of € 69,000, over 300% of the target.

The operation, which aimed to test the receptivity of the market for a highly innovative product, was well received by supporters and lovers of sneakers from all over the world with 366 pairs of shoes sold in total, of which 116 in Italy and 92 in the USA. The remainder is distributed between different European countries and the world.

The outcome of WAHU’s first retail campaign was so positive that it was decided to bring the sneakers that revolutionize the idea of shoes on a new platform: the InDemand area of Indiegogo.com (click here to access).

The campaign will remain open until the actual start of production, scheduled for the beginning of next year, with the delivery of the first WAHU models in April 2023. Production will take place entirely in Italy.

On Indiegogo WAHU shoes are available for € 195. Together with the sneakers, the user will receive:

  • the wireless charging platform
  • the access to the WAHU application and its subsequent updates

«We are enormously satisfied with how the campaign went on Kickstarter», says Cristina Russi, co-founder of WAHU. «The campaign allowed us to deepen the identikit of those who have an interest in a certain type of sophisticated and highly technological product like ours. These are tech lovers, in the specific case applied to a shoe, lovers of “novelty”, the so-called innovators, or those who try everything new. But also some special categories of workers: having to stay many hours standing up, they continually search for “comfort” products of this type».

«After the success of Kickstarter, we moved directly to the Indiegogo platform in order not to stop and continue to pursue our goals: not only those related to the fundraising, but also those related to an expansion of our customer base in the world and to the knowledge of the product in a more and more enlarged and widespread way», concludes Cristina Russi.
