e-Novia – a ‘Growth Leader’

The best, fastest growing companies feature in the Sole24Ore Growth Ranking 2019, a list of the 350 Italian companies that saw their turnover increase the most between 2014 and 2017.

e-Novia is ranked 74th overall and 10th in Milan from a field of around 20,000 companies who either put themselves forward for consideration or were selected by Sole24Ore. In a ranking which is more consistent with the market, excluding e-commerce businesses, e-Novia is ranked second in Milan and third in Italy (including e-commerce businesses it is third in Milan and ninth in Italy). E-Novia had a turnover of almost 6 million euros in 2017, growth of 90% compared to 2016. The joint-stock company, registered as an innovative SME, has received 53 million euros in total since it was founded in 2015 by Vincenzo Russi, Ivo Boniolo, Cristiano Spelta and Sergio Savaresi.

There are some common characteristics which have led many SMEs to be among the growth leaders in the Sole24Ore / Statista ranking, development factors which have allowed SMEs to be successful on the back of emerging trends in Italy. The first trend which has brought success is the spread of evolved digital services, which has propelled digital consultancy businesses like e-Novia forwards. Another factor which has rewarded many SMEs in the ranking is the spread of e-commerce in all sectors in Italy. The third trend is internationalisation, not only of goods but also services: the companies that have looked abroad have grown the most. Another very important factor for development is quality – high-end products are a symbol of Italian manufacturing.
