China chooses Blubrake. The company, which was created in the Enterprise Factory e-Novia has developed the first electronic control system capable of increasing the cyclists’ security during their breaking maneuver, has been voted best Italian scale-up. The company managed by Fabio Todeschini is now ready to conquer the Orient, thanks to their victory at the Italian finale of Otec «Overseas Talent Entrepreneur Competition», the principal Chinese competition for international scale-ups, hosted for the first time in our country in collaboration with Tech Silu, an organization that connects start-ups, scale-ups and innovative Italian ecosystems with China.
Victory at the Italian level of the competition enables the company from Milan to access the final competition where it will compete against 18 of the best international scale-ups that won the Otec finales in their respective countries, introducing themselves to more than 1,200 entrepreneurs and more than 100 Chinese investment funds. The presentations will take place during a roadshow in 4 different cities, amongst them Beijing, between the 10th and the 15th of August. The Chaoyang District, one of the most important Chinese business quarters, which has first launched Otec, offers 130,000 euros worth of investment to the winner. In addition, there will be the possibility of meeting the best Venture Capitalists, Business Angels and Chinese entrepreneurs, also visiting the headquarters of the Big Tech of the country.
«We are very pleased with the result», comments Fabio Todeschini, co-founder of Blubrake. «Being selected as best Italian scale-up shows that we are going into the right direction. We are convinced that the future is heading in the direction of accessible and sustainable mobility; the possibility of connecting with the Asian market, which is a major global target in terms of sales, is a unique opportunity for us».
«The recognition obtained by Blubrake is testimony once again of the value of this company and its prospective international growth. To expand to China means accessing with our technology an enormous market in which mobility is dominated by two-wheelers», comments Vincenzo Russi, CEO of e-Novia. «Thanks to the Fabbrica di e-Novia, innovative companies like Blubrake are developing smart mobility and showcasing the best that Italian-made offerings can achieve international recognition right from the beginning».
